Past Event
December 2, 2015 - November 27, 2024,

Hosted by the National Reentry Resource Center in Partnership with the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, with funding support from the U.S. Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Assistance

This webinar shares highlights from a first-of-its kind report, Locked Out: Improving Educational and Vocational Outcomes for Incarcerated Youth, on the accessibility and accountability of educational and vocational services for incarcerated youth. Panelists share key findings and recommendations from a national survey on how states are providing these services, how data on educational and vocational outcomes are being tracked and used, and how agencies are collaborating to support incarcerated youth to reengage in educational services in the community upon release. Panelists also discuss promising approaches from select states that have implemented successful policies and practices to improve educational and vocational outcomes for this population.

This webinar is especially helpful for juvenile correctional agencies, state education and local education agencies, school leaders and educators, reentry coordinators, parole staff, and other stakeholders.
